Houston, TX, April 16, 2015: For the last decade and a half, national organizations, like Society for Financial Awareness, have vigorously worked to educate US Americans about how to make smarter financial decisions throughout the month of April. This month-long event was created to accompany Tax Day; the annual IRS filing deadline for tax returns. President of the Society for Financial Awareness’ Houston Midtown Chapter, Christopher Hensley, will participate in Financial Literacy Month by meeting with employees of the nationally acclaimed marketing firm, Lopez Negrete Communications.
Lopez Negrete has be a great supporter of financial education and has demonstrated great corporate responsible by continuing to offer monthly financial presentation to its employees since the Houston Midtown Chapter’s inception.
In the “College Planning” workshop to be held April 16, 2015, Lopez Negrete employees will discover how to address the high cost of college. They will learn of financial aid options and about educational IRAs. Participants will leave the workshop knowing how to develop an effective college investment plan.
“I am looking forward to sharing the tools needed to help Houstonians become financially successful. We had a great turnout last year and expect it to get bigger every year. We will be providing free educational handouts as well as door prizes to those who attend.” said Christopher Hensley, host of local radio show Money Matters and President of the Houston Midtown Chapter of the Society for Financial Awareness.
